Custom 3D printing & prototyping—display pieces, novel toys, and job-site-ready parts.
Already have a model? Printing runs $2–$10 per hour of print time. Individual prices are located with the materials sections below. Send an email with your model and desired material and colors, and I’ll let you know how long it will take and how much it will cost.
Need design help? It’s $30/hr, with standard materials for design prototypes included. I print in FDM (“standard kind”) (PLA, PETG, TPU, Nylon, PC, carbon-fill) and resin (Standard, Tough/ABS-like, Flexible, High-Temp, Clear). Typical turnaround is 3–5 business days per iteration (print + feedback).
Design Help
Have an idea but no 3D file? I’ll translate sketches, photos, or measurements into a printable model. Together we’ll pin down use, performance needs (strength, heat, wear), and aesthetics. I’ll explain trade-offs—surface finish vs. strength, wall thickness, tolerances, and support options. If you’re building something for production, I optimize parts for reliable printing with minimal post-processing and dial in print orientation for a high success rate.
You can choose to bill hourly or I can provide an itemized quote with estimated hours, deliverables, and a rough timeline. Final deliverables will include printed part, CAD files, Orca slicer profiles, and print instructions. You’ll get photos, notes, and clear cost tracking at every step so you always know what you’re getting and what it costs.
Miniatures & Display Pieces
For sharp detail and smooth surfaces, resin printing is king—perfect for tabletop minis, figurines, busts, small props, and intricate display parts. For larger pieces, high-detail FDM (0.1–0.15 mm layers) is cost-effective and looks great.
Electronics (Optional)
Want lights, sensors, or controls in your print? I’ll design clean mounting features, cable paths, and access panels directly into the model. I can assist with sourcing and installation of basic electronics, along with soldering and wiring.
Materials Available
FDM Filaments:
- PLA / PLA Tough – clean look, affordable; best for display & light-duty parts ($2/hr)
- PETG – stronger than PLA, better temperature/chemical tolerance; great all-round functional parts ($2/hr)
- TPU – flexible, rubber-like; great for grips, wearables, gaskets, and vibration-damping parts ($3/hr)
- PC (Polycarbonate) – high impact and heat resistance for demanding parts ($5/hr)
- Nylon (PA) – very tough and wear-resistant with flex; ideal for parts that take abuse ($8-$10/hr)
- Carbon-fill (PLA/PETG/PA/PC) – stiffer with a matte finish (can be more brittle than the base material)
Resin Types
- Standard – highest detail for minis and display models
- Tough / ABS-like – stronger prototypes with a smooth look
- Flexible – elastomeric parts and dampers
- High-Temp – fixtures and parts near heat sources
- Clear – lenses/light pipes (polish/clear coat recommended)
-Standard Resins start at $4/hr with a $3 wash and cure fee per print.
Not sure? We’ll discuss how the part will be used (load, temperature, indoor/outdoor) and I’ll recommend the right material.
Finishing & Special Options
- Finishing: sanding, filler/primer, spray painting
- Heat-set inserts: threaded brass inserts for strong assemblies
- Post-processing: print annealing (FDM where appropriate), resin wash + UV cure
- Casting/encapsulation: 2-part epoxy pours with vacuum chamber
- Custom Hueforge style prints (https://shop.thehueforge.com/) Includes Lithophanes (shadowboxes)

Get Started
- Send your file or idea (photos, sketches, measurements welcome).
- Share the use case (where it lives, loads/heat, indoor/outdoor).
- I’ll recommend material & settings and provide a clear estimate.
- Approve the plan → print, share photos/notes, and iterate if needed.
